Well-Prepared Mommy™ recommends the following as a guideline when registering for baby gifts:

Clothing/Layette
Since babies grow so fast, you may wish to register for a range of sizes.

• 9-12 bodysuits

• 6-8 “sleep ‘n play” outfits/
  gowns

• 4-6 side-snap shirts

• Baby mittens

• Booties/socks

• 2-3 caps

• 4-6 receiving blankets /swaddle sets

• Bunting for cold weather

Nursing/Feeding

• Breastpump

• Breast pads

• Breast cream

• Breastmilk storage containers or bags

• Nursing pillow

• Burp cloths (or cloth diapers)

• 3-4 lap pads

• 6-8 bottles

• Extra nipples (different kinds in
  case baby is choosy)

• Bottle brush

• Dishwasher caddy

• 8-12 bibs

• Formula

• Infant feeding spoons

• Sippy cups

• High chair/Booster seat

• Splat mat (especially if you’ll be feeding baby over carpet)
